Echo Colonnade

Bila Tserkva is a city southwest of Kyiv and it was there, in an abandoned basement and an improvised home studio, that Reflector recorded their debut album between 2016 and 2020. The fact that the album was completed and released in 2023, despite all the adversities and in light of the situation in Ukraine, even under far worse circumstances, is remarkable in its own right.

Six numbered tracks plus a live rehearsal bonus track make for 44 minutes of cosmic space rock, heavily influenced by Hawkwind and Pink Floyd. Motorik grooves, endlessly unfolding delay guitars, synthesizer carpets and an atmosphere that points far beyond the origin of the recordings. The album title is real! In Bila Tserkva, there really is a colonnade and the band members used it's echo for the reverb on the record. The cover was inspired by the Magritte painting of the same name.

LP on 180-gram randomly colored recycled vinyl made in Germany and limited to 500 copies, including download code!
