Sulatron Records has been around for about twenty years. The label was founded by Dave Schmidt, whom many know as Sula Bassana from bands like Zone Six, Electric Moon, or Interkosmos. What began as a passion project has grown over the years to include more than two hundred releases in the genres of space rock, krautrock, progressive rock and long, sprawling jams. Music that takes its time and prefers a broad arc to quick effects.

At the beginning of 2026, after two decades, Dave handed over the label. Sulatron moved to Lörrach in the south of Germany right on the swiss border. The new leading figure is Sissi von Stuck, a violinist and singer with strong roots in Jazz and Folk and love for the unique.

Sulatron Records remains a home for sounds that are rarely found elsewhere. New additions include a blog, concert reports and a few fresh directions in the program, ranging from space rock to heavy jazz.
