Sulatron Records has been around for about twenty years. The label was founded by Dave Schmidt, whom many know as Sula Bassana from bands like Zone Six, Electric Moon, or Interkosmos. What began as a passion project has grown over the years to include more than two hundred releases in the genres of space rock, krautrock, progressive rock, and long, sprawling jams. Music that takes its time and prefers a broad arc to quick effects.

At the beginning of 2026, after two decades, Dave handed over the label. With that, Sulatron moved from Hesse to Lörrach in Baden, right on the Swiss border. The new management is Sissi von Stuck, a violinist with a love for the unique.

Sulatron Records remains a home for sounds that are rarely found elsewhere. New additions include a blog, concert reports, and a few fresh directions in the program, ranging from space rock to heavy jazz.
