Speck

🇦🇹

2023 – 2023

Space Rock · Krautrock · Improvisation

Speck were founded in Vienna in 2019 with the clear vision of playing everything improvised and everything live.

The result is high-energy space Krautrock that works just as well on a basement stage as it does at a festival. Grooving, building up in layers and always with a raw, immediate energy that you cannot write, only play. Marcel Cultrera is also the guitarist in Minerall, the instrumental trio with Sula Bassana and Tommy Handschick (Earthbong, Kombynat Robotron), which also releases on Sulatron Records. A connection that is audible in the sound of both projects.

Released on Sulatron Records in 2023 was the Split-LP with Interkosmos. Side A belongs to Speck with The Metz Session, a live jam lasting over 23 minutes, recorded in April 2021 in a former stonemason's workshop in Lower Austria. Side B belongs to Interkosmos. Two bands who know and appreciate each other and have shared the stage together. Now they are united on one record.

Music for everyone who likes raw and organic space rock.
