With Strömung, Minerall present the second album from a collaborative studio session, proving once again that collective improvisation at this level is far more than just jam music. Marcel Cultrera (guitar, Speck), Tommy Handschick (drums, Kombynat Robotron, Earthbong), and Dave Schmidt, alias Sula Bassana (bass, synthesizer, Zone Six, Interkosmos, ex-Electric Moon), come together as three of the most experienced protagonists of the German-speaking psych scene. And you can hear it.

The album's two extensive tracks unfold organically without ever losing direction. The guitar guides the listener through vast, reverb-drenched spaces, while the rhythmic foundation provides the necessary openness to maintain the flow. Sula Bassana's bass and synthesizer anchor the action as much as they propel it into orbit. This field of tension gives the album its peculiar pull. The recordings were captured in January 2023 at Studio Buffbergen by Yannick Aderb and mastered by Eroc. The production approach preserves the raw, lively character of the session without sacrificing sonic depth.

Strömung stands in the tradition of Kosmische Musik but sounds completely contemporary: not a nostalgic reconstruction, but an independent statement by three musicians who have helped shape this cosmos themselves.
