Krautrock · Kosmische Musik · Space Rock
Krautzone emerged in 2011 from the inner circle of the Sulatron environment and it shows immediately. Sula Bassana (synthesizers), Komet Lulu (shaman drums), Modulfix alias Martin Schorn (synthesizers), Rainer Neeff (guitar, FX) and Onkel Kaktus (bass, FX, kalimba) know each other inside out, play together in various constellations in Electric Moon, Zone Six and The Pancakes and know exactly what they want. Cosmic music in the truest sense of the word.
Krautzone never performed live and, in all likelihood, never will. What remains are three studio albums full of spherical, trance-like improvisations: Kosmische Rituale (2013), Spiritual Retreat (2015) and the split release Superkraut / Doors of Perception (2014, together with Lamp Of The Universe on Headspin Records). All three, plus unreleased material, were compiled on the double CD The Complete Works (2015) on Sulatron Records. Recorded and mixed by Sula Bassana, mastered by Eroc, artwork by Komet Lulu.
Music for anyone who wants to know what it sounds like when five musicians from the Sulatron universe drift off into space together.
