Electric Moon was formed in the autumn of 2009 by Komet Lulu (Lulu Neudeck) on bass and Sula Bassana (Dave Schmidt) on guitar. In addition to her role as a musician, Lulu is also a visual artist and is responsible for covers, artwork and typography. In a nutshell the band's entire visual identity.
Over the years, the drummers changed: Pablo Carneval (who also plays in Interkosmos and Zone Six) was there from the beginning, stepped away for other lineups in the interim and returned in 2017. Sula Bassana departed in early 2022 but remains active in projects such as Zone Six, Minerall and Moonseeds. The band belongs to the top tier of the european psych and space rock underground and has played at festivals such as Roadburn, Freak Valley, Copenhagen Psych Fest, Kozfest, Kildemose and many more.
Their sound has always remained recognizable with a monotonous bass, epic-powerful guitars, Komet Lulu's reverb-drenched vocals and a hypnotic energy that unfolds particularly well live. Crazy colors, cosmic walls of fuzz, moments of deep silence and sudden outbursts. Electric Moon is a band best listened to loudly and with a lot of time.
Music to lose yourself in the fuzz.
