Purple Stones

Edition: 500
Two years after their acclaimed debut, Centre El Muusa from Tallinn return with Purple Stones, showcasing their journey. While the first album delved directly into the psychedelic Krautrock cosmos, Purple Stones opens up in all directions: country rock, jazz, ambient meandering soundscapes, and hypnotic psych rock alternate without ever sounding arbitrary.
Pony Road opens with a twanging lap steel guitar and a light country rock flair that soon explodes into a psychedelic freakout. 1978 and Keila Train immerse themselves in nebulous, ghostly soundscapes full of Wurlitzer warmth, before Pilot On Board concludes the album with a steady Krautrock beat and progressive excursions. The CD edition includes three bonus live tracks from the Sunrise Concert at Aidu Windmill Park in September 2020. Over 23 minutes of additional material, including a groovy live version of Ain't Got Enough Mojo and a cosmic reinterpretation of Pilot On Board.
Recorded in October 2020 at Bazaar Studio and Muusa Studio, Tallinn. Produced by Misha Panfilov.
Also available as an LP on 180 gram black vinyl made in Germany and limited to 500 copies, including a download code!
