With Live At The Church, Krautfuzz documents an intense, entirely improvisation-based live session that shows the band in its most elemental state: raw, open, and completely in the flow of the moment.

Here, Krautfuzz moves at the intersection of Krautrock, psychedelic rock, and free collective improvisation. The recording unfolds as a continuous arc of tension, where rhythmic motorik, trance-like repetitions, and eruptive outbursts interlock.

The album gains particular weight through the guest appearance of J. Mascis, whose characteristic guitar work further condenses the second half of the recording and leads into sometimes drastically distorted, almost noise-like soundscapes. Especially here, the sound increasingly shifts into a raw, unfiltered energy that oscillates between psychedelic expansion and controlled chaos.

The music unfolds organically over long periods, carried by a hypnotic foundation of bass and drums, over which guitar lines freely develop, shift, and intensify. Instead of classic song structures, a continuous live flow emerges, characterized equally by Krautrock tradition and contemporary noise and psych aesthetics.

Live At The Church is thus less a live album in the traditional sense than a documented state, a snapshot of collective intensity, where space, volume, and energy themselves become the actual material.

Recorded live on June 25, 2024, at the Protestant Church Community Genezareth, Berlin.

The CD contains an extended version of the recording; specifically, Track B is included in a longer version than on the vinyl edition.

Also available as an LP on 180-gram black recycled vinyl made in Germany and limited to 500 copies!
