Dim Electrics

An Englishman in Vienna: Dim Electrics is a solo project, ongoing since 2014, dedicated to psychedelic guitar music in all its forms: Kraut, Psych, Drone, Fuzz. The self-titled debut album will be released in December 2023 on Sulatron Records and is immediately recognizable as a typical label release: cosmic, trance-like, and with a real spirit behind the riffs.

Five tracks that span a wide arc: "Ways Of Seeing" opens with an extended guitar workout reminiscent of early Pink Floyd and Spacemen 3, without directly copying them. "Memory Cage" and "Saint" show the shorter, song-oriented side of the project. "Burn" grinds into Hawkwind territory with heavy fuzz layers, before "Dream Reaction", the longest and most meditative track, brings the album to a close with drone and Neu! influences.

Inspired equally by Hawkwind, early Pink Floyd, Spacemen 3, Suicide, Can, and Neu!. A combination that feels so organic on the album that it's hard to believe there's a single musician behind it.
