Glowsun hail from Lille in the north of France and are considered one of the country's first and most consistent stoner rock bands. Founded in 1997 by guitarist and vocalist Johan Jaccob, who also works as a poster and album cover designer, the band found its final form in 2005 after several lineup changes, with Johan Jaccob (guitar, vocals), Ronan Chiron (bass) and Fabrice Cornille (drums).
Their sound sits at the intersection of stoner rock and psychedelic atmosphere. Heavy riffs, cosmic vastness and an unerring sense for melody. The band established itself early on as a strong live act, sharing the stage with the likes of Karma to Burn, Brant Bjork, Yawning Man and My Sleeping Karma. A split LP with Electric Moon was released on Sulatron Records in 2011. A natural connection between two bands, both known for extended, heavy psych grooves and a loyal European festival audience.
Music for long drives, heavy nights and all those who prefer space rock with a bit more heaviness.
