The Papermoon Sessions Live At Roadburn 2014

The Papermoon Sessions Live At Roadburn 2014 is a very special document. We experience Sula Bassana together with Komet Lulu (Electric Moon) and the Danish band Papir on stage at the Roadburn Festival 2014, two years after their first collaborative session had already resulted in the studio album The Papermoon Sessions.

Six musicians, two guitars, two basses, synthesizers and drums merge here into a single, organically flowing body of sound. Over the full length of the concert, a pull of cosmic space rock, dense organ textures and sprawling guitar lines alternating between Pink Floyd-esque expansiveness and romantic lead guitar work unfolds in just two tracks.

What began as a studio album becomes an almost 47-minute live journey here. At times weightless and ethereal, at others featuring massive, almost fantastical walls of riffs. A meeting of two bands that are audibly on the same wavelength.
