The Papermoon Sessions Live At Roadburn 2014

The Papermoon Sessions Live At Roadburn 2014 is a very special document: we experience Sula Bassana together with Komet Lulu (Electric Moon) and the Danish band Papir on stage at the Roadburn Festival 2014, two years after their first joint session had already resulted in the studio album The Papermoon Sessions.

Six musicians, two guitars, two basses, synthesizers, and drums merge here into a single, organically flowing sound body. In just two pieces, a maelstrom of cosmic space rock, dense organ pads, and expansive guitar lines unfolds over the full concert length, oscillating between Pink Floyd-esque vastness and romantic lead guitar work.

What began as a studio album becomes an almost 47-minute live journey here: sometimes weightless and floating, sometimes with massive, almost fantastical riff walls. A meeting of two bands that are audibly on the same wavelength.
