With Magnifier, Giöbia released their fourth album in 2015, and their second on Sulatron Records. An opening track that, right from the opener This World Was Being Watched Closely, makes clear with an old sci-fi sample what direction the journey is taking. The quartet from Milan moves between acid rock, '60s garage, and extended space rock, and audibly pushes this sound on Magnifier further into darker, heavier realms.

Tracks like The Pond and The Stain deliver dense, fuzz-drenched riffs with a slightly paranoid undertone, while Lentamente La Luce Svanirà shows the band's proggier, synth-heavy side. With the over fifteen-minute Sun Spectre, the album unfolds its undisputed climax: an intergalactic trip on a ghost ship, oscillating between Hawkwind Drive and cosmic prog improvisation, before the title track The Magnifier closes the set with a touch of Syd Barrett-era Floyd.

Magnifier shows Giöbia at the peak of their power, serving both the hard and tender moments of psychedelic music equally and was rightly celebrated as one of the highlights of 2015.
