Neo-Krautrock · Psychedelic Rock · Acid Rock
Vibravoid are from Düsseldorf, the very city that helped invent Krautrock. Since 1988, back then known as the Lightshow Society Düsseldorf, they have been following the traditions of Neu! and Can, helping to create the term Neo-Krautrock. The head of the band is Christian Koch, who plays everything himself. Vox Phantom guitars and bass, Vox Super Continental organ, Mellotron, sitar, theremin, Stylophone, Korg synthesizer, percussion and doing vocals. Everything recorded, mixed, and produced by himself in Düsseldorf.
More than 20 studio albums, countless live albums, singles and EPs prove that they have lived this credo consistently for decades. Their albums Minddrugs and Gravity Zero were released on Sulatron Records. The connection between Christian Koch and Dave Schmidt goes back to the mid 90s when Koch designed the entire graphic identity for Nasoni Records. A friendship between two key figures of the German psych underground.
Gravity Zero is one of the band's heaviest and trippiest albums. An ideal starting point for anyone who is not yet familiar with Vibravoid.
Music for those who do not perceive Krautrock as nostalgia, but as a living, constantly evolving tradition.
