Psychedelic Rock · Stoner · Krautrock · Noise
Tracker are an Austrian trio that solders its own fuzzboxes, collects obscure equipment, experiments with strange synthesizer sounds and prefers to leave out a chord in the rehearsal room rather than overcomplicate a song, only to demonstrate after an almost obsessive attention to detail. Put on your proto-punk leather jacket, let the dusty desert elegance sink in and set your navigation to some place in the universe.
Their music sits at the intersection of psychedelic rock, stoner, krautrock and noise. Raw, idiosyncratic and with a sound that defies simple categorization. The tracks on their Sulatron debut How I Became An Alien range between four and eight minutes, building hypnotic bass grooves, fuzz-drenched guitar lines and sporadic vocal outbursts into something that has invited comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age in their spacier, more experimental moments.
Tracker have played both living room concerts and festival stages, including an invitation to the legendary Duna Jam in Sardinia and have shared the stage with bands such as Kreisky, Trail of Dead and Red Fang. As one reviewer put it: The musical style here is usually not intended for a wider audience. Gladly we are not a wider audience.
Music for leaving the noise of everyday life behind, turning up the fuzzbox and never looking back.
