Space Rock Β· Psychedelic Rock Β· Krautrock

Farflung was founded in Los Angeles in 1992. Originally under the name Helianthus by drummer Brandon LaBelle and guitarist Michael Esther, before Tommy Grenas (vocals, guitar, synthesizer) from Pressurehed joined and the band adopted its final name in 1994. Since then, they have been one of the most idiosyncratic acts in the American space rock underground. Over ten albums, countless tours through Europe and the USA, collaborations with Nik Turner (Hawkwind), Damo Suzuki (Can) and Dave Catching (Queens Of The Stone Age, Eagles Of Death Metal) and vocal support from Henry Rollins, Helios Creed (Chrome) and Voivod.

Their sound is a brew of everything that made Hawkwind good in the Search Of Space era with a dash of Zappa-esque humor, punk energy and a readiness for the freakout. Released on Sulatron Records were Like Drones In Honey (2022), their tenth studio album, a firework of acid riffs, space drones and distorted vocals, as well as the reissue of their legendary debut 25.000 Feet Per Second (originally 1995 on Flipside Records), newly remastered and featuring a bonus track.

Music for anyone who likes space rock twisted and with a mischievous smile behind the wall of fuzz.
