Krautrock · Psychedelic · Neo-Krautrock
Electric Orange is a psychedelic krautrock band from Germany, founded in 1992 by multi-instrumentalist Dirk Jan Müller. Together with core member and guitarist Dirk Bittner, the band has been one of the most consistent and productive forces in the German underground for over three decades.
Their music is deeply rooted in the krautrock tradition. Hypnotic, repetitive, groove-driven and filtered through a distinctly contemporary lens. Hammond organ, fuzz guitars, synthesizers and propulsive rhythms merge into extended jams that owe as much to Ash Ra Tempel and Amon Düül II as they do to the experimental energy of the present.
Electric Orange releases music at a high frequency and plays regularly across Europe including highly acclaimed performances at Roadburn Festival. Dirk Jan Müller also leads the solo electronic project Cosmic Ground.
Music for getting lost in the loop, surrendering to the groove and letting the sounds take control.
