Psychedelic Rock · Acid Rock · Space Rock
Deep Space hail from Austin, Texas, the birthplace of American psychedelia, where the 13th Floor Elevators once set the tone. The trio of Robbie D Love (vocals, guitar, bass), Golden Unknown (vocals, guitar) and Buddy Hart (drums) draws deeply from this history without imitating it. What they create is acid rock for those who like their music long, repetitive and without any sugar-coating. No catchy pop, no hook-laden melodies but rather extended, hypnotic excursions into the depths of consciousness.
Their music conjures soundscapes between Spacemen 3 and the 13th Floor Elevators. Emotional metaphors for black holes and exploding suns, which unfold in tracks like the sixteen-minute Motorcycle or the nine-minute Lady Heroine. Through The Haze, their 2014 debut LP on Sulatron Records, was released on 180g white vinyl, limited to 500 copies.
Music for séances and conjuring spirits.
