Psychedelic Folk · Prog Folk · Neo-Folk
Anandammide is a psych-folk project from Paris, led by Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Michele Moschini, who has lived in the French capital since 2007. Before founding Anandammide, he spent a decade as the lead singer of the Italian progressive rock band Floating State. In 2018, he gathered a handful of musicians from a British-French community orchestra scene in Paris around him. The foundation for Anandammide was laid.
Released on Sulatron Records was EURA (2024), for which Moschini brought together musicians from France, Sweden, England and Italy. Flute, cello, violin, ethereal female vocals and electric guitars in a concept that bridges Greek and Latin myths with contemporary obsessions.
Music for anyone who likes folk. Dark, layered and a bit apocalyptic.
